I was lucky enough to go to one of the shows in Foxboro in May. Not only was I blown away by the creativity of the outfits people wore but also by the sense of community. Everyone was there to have a good time - no one was drunk or pushing or being rude. I've never been to a Patriots' game but I'm sure the experience of leaving the stadium was the antithesis of what it's like on game day!
At one point during the show, I Face Timed a friend who'd just had a baby and was sad she couldn't make the show. She was holding her new little bundle at the time. A few minutes later someone tapped me on the shoulder and handed me a friendship bracelet. "This is for your friend. We see she has new baby." It still makes me teary to think about!
My dream crossover! Two of my favorite corners of the internet in conversation with each other - LOVE! I so appreciate how thoughtful you both are in your respective content, and for providing an outlet for us to have meaningful conversation about something a lot of people deem “frivolous.”
I was so fortunate to get last minute tickets to the Vegas show for my daughters and I. It was the second city on her stop so not a lot of information was out there. We drove 8 hours on a Saturday morning, went to the concert that night and drove 8 hours back home the next day. It was the best concert I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to plenty! We didn’t have much time to really prepare outfits and didn’t realize the friendship bracelet thing was happening but it’s been 5 months and we still only listen to the tour playlist and the songs will spark something they remembered from being there. I’d love to go again now after time has passed and really take everything in. I’m really hoping that after the tour is over there will be a documentary on this tour so we can see all the details that went into this!
What a good fit for an SMT! You can tell a lot of thought goes into Taylor's image. And she seems to thrive on tour, reveling in her outfits/performances.
Very interesting. Nice example of you going beyond covering just royal fashion - and I am here for it! Also really loved the Barbie fashion coverage - fascinating!
Almost screamed when I saw this come through my email this morning. I was so lucky to attend the first show in Seattle and my soul is still sparkling! So thrilled you wrote this piece and interviewed someone who has followed TS's fashion for a long time. The show has many stars other than TS. Her fashion being one and the fashion of the fans is a whole other show. The merch too! That's a whole other thing! I do NOT stand in lines and I stood in line with my daughter for two hours to get the sweatshirt she wanted. The ONE sweatshirt that isn't available online. (Would love to know the behind the scenes thinking behind only making certain pieces available at the show vs having it all online.) The thought put into this entire production is hard to wrap your head around. If you can snag some tickets for the last of the LA shows, Elizabeth, do it!!! It's an experience of a lifetime. Money and time well spent. Will be filling out the google form if I can get in. It isn't letting me in at the moment. Thanks again!!
My young adult daughter went as Midnights: midnight blue velvet dress with gold stars on it. While a Taylor Swift fan, she's not a true 'Swiftie' but was thrilled with the atmosphere and experience.
Such a fun read! I haven’t been to the Eras show but I have loved seeing all the fashion moments from both Taylor to fans! I love how she channeled all these different styles and moments in one show! 💕🎉

I'm hoping for the documentary, too! There are lots of cameras in the pics I've seen, so seems likely!
I think I heard somewhere that there will be a documentary. How could there not be? Esp given the marketing genius that is the TS team.

Yay Sarah! We met on Tumblr through her blog! Haha she does an awesome job.
