“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing,” someone said to me with a smile on my trip to Vancouver and Whistler last week. It was the first I’ve heard the saying (which I believe has Scandinavian roots?) and — wow — did it resonate. I am chuckling about it now but trust me when I say winter style is harder than you might think! By the third day, I chose staying warm over looking cute.

Meghan, on the other hand, seemed very much at home in the snow and ice of Canada. (Not surprising since she lived in Toronto for many years while filming Suits!) The Duchess of Sussex returned with Prince Harry this month to mark one year until the 2025 Invictus Games.

Below are so many thoughts (my SMTs, for short) on the three outfits Meghan wore in her public appearances. Her style equation is one we all can replicate: a great coat paired with skinny jeans tucked into functional boots. I’ve also included a bit of fashion commentary on the three private events Harry and Meghan attended as well, and how those outfits fit into the overall cadence of the trip.

Did you have a favorite Meghan look from these three days? Please share in the comments!
