I just bought my first Nap Dress off of this list! I’ve been eyeing Elizabeth’s ones for awhile and now you all have convinced me. Navy blue crepe on order 😍
Can’t wait to dive into more of these recommendations!
I'm buying all my clothes off these recos from now on.😍
Dear Nicole who recommended the Alex Mill button back cardigan - I recommended the Alex Mill Dave Tees! I've been looking at that sweater for months now - any suggestions on sizing for that sweater?
Kristin & Nicole, I’ve been eyeing both of these items and would love your sizing tips for Alex Mill please. It’s a brand I would like to start shopping. ❤️
Hi, Erin! I promise I've not been ignoring your comment, but I have been thinking about how to reply since I saw it yesterday! I also wanted to wait until today when I got dressed and decided to wear one of those shirts so I could think about it. So I am usually solidly in that safe medium zone. However, I did measurements and using the size chart on their site I decided to get a small size, and now I have five of the same shirt in size small. 😉 What pushed me to buy my first shirt was one of the model shots of someone wearing the blue vintage tee, the photo where they have the front of it tucked into their jeans and the jeans are kind of slouchy and I think maybe they're wearing a belt? Anyway, I swiped past that and immediately thought, hey, I have jeans that would work like that! As for specifics on sizing, I am just under 5' 5", I am 43.5 years old and I have given birth. I don't really like things very baggy, so I wanted to be sure this fit and skimmed over my body well but didn't suck in on my arms or my stomach. I think it absolutely fits the bill. I am wearing the green vintage right now, size small. It has such a lovely weight to it, so it hangs really well, and I like how the sleeves aren't a standard t-shirt sleeve length, but they also are not a tank top. I think on the Alex Mill website they talk about how this can stretch between being a summer tank or a regular tee, and I totally see how it can have that flexibility! If you like your shirts to be a little bit flowier and you are between sizes, I would say go with the size up. But I sized down on this one and I've not looked back! I hope that helps, please let me know if you have other questions!
Thank you for putting this together! This is exactly what I need in my life-“personal stylists!” I always feel inundated with ads and never know what is and isn’t reliable, and being a mom of two littles I do most of my shopping online. I can’t wait to start shopping!
I like that Kate gets the same outfit in different colors, but sometimes I wish she would substitute for a print, or a stripe, or even LEOPARD! The Queen did that, even with her "uniform". Not always solid colors.
I love this piece so much!! I’ve always been a buy-in-multiples person, since I was a high school teenager. That Anthro Sommerset dress is a recent favorite of this approach. I have a lot of pieces in my wardrobe that are doubles or triples. Thank you, Elizabeth!
This is such a wonderful idea! Thank you so much Elizabeth for sending this request out to your readers and a million thanks to everyone who answered. There are so many great ideas on this list that I can’t wait to explore. Also with so many brands and everything available online it’s hard to sort out what is quality vs hype...plus it can feel exhausting/overwhelming to go through the order and return process. So happy to have this new resource!
I can 100% attest the the recommendation of the Athleta Racer Run shorts. I've been running on average 4 miles a couple days a week in those. Today all my pairs were dirty so I threw on a pair of Nike DRI fit shorts. I have larger thighs and oh my gosh the burn of the chub rub by the end I was wishing my misery to end. I just went on Poshmark and literally bought all the pairs I could find in my size so this is never an issue again!
What I'm curious to know is if any ladies that have large chests (I'm 42G) is how JCrew fits on tops. I'm always so hesitant because I can only order online and don't have the ability to try on in stores. When I do they never have any of the larger sizes.
I can confirm that Universal Standard has amazing stuff. High quality and every single item is available in size 00-40. Love a size inclusive brand.

Have the new day target tank on in my pic! It’s the best!

TBH, Suzy, with the solid colors I think it makes the second (or third) version stand out - which to me feels like proof she wants us all to notice.
Love this piece and also the J crew sweater blazer is having a moment! I have 2 in 2 different styles and absolutely adore it!
I have six nap dresses (yikes) but but but only 2 are Ellie? Some nap dress diversity? haha 🤷♀️
I have 2 of the vuori joggers, 2 ellie nap dresses and 2 j crew sweater blazers!
Terry! You are ON IT.

Thank you for compiling this list! It is incredible to see all of our favorites.

I learned so much doing it, Erin! I'm so glad to have these recommendations, too.

Hi Jill! For the most part, J Crew tops have run small for me. I’m a 36C and often end up sizing up on a top so I have a little bit more room.
Perfect thank for that information!
