Anna Sawai (Shogun), just for pure beauty, I loved her red dress! (red for Japanese flag). Also appreciated Brie Larson's tribute to Lessons in Chemistry! So cute. And Elizabeth Debicki, yes, I loved the royal black dress, but I think it could have used some bling....

From this list, Elizabeth Debicki is perfection. Off this list, Anna Sawai (in custom Vera Wang) was my favorite … I wish I knew her story! Now that I know about Laverne Cox’s thoughtful approach, I’ll always watch her red carpet interviews. ❤️

Anna looked *amazing!* (She talked to Laverne and said that Vera Wang was her top choice of designer, but didn't offer up any more. I was hoping!)

Love your analysis as always!

I loved Brie Larson’s dress and the fact it was a nod to the show made me love it even more! Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston both always knock it out of the park!

I thought her dress was so elegant, but also interesting! In contrast, I couldn‘t get excited about Elizabeth Debicki‘s, it was a bit too bland for me - with some bling it might have been a yes for me, and definitely if it has been a different colour AND some bling😉. But this version was just too underwhelming IMO.

Nava Mau is my mom’s neighbor, and she is just the nicest person. My mom doesn’t watch much tv, so she didn’t know Nava was an actress until she saw the article about her Emmy nomination. Now she’s a fan of the show. That said, I love your observations here about the stars and their outfits. Thank you. ❤️

But I‘m also so impressed by the thoughtfulness Nava Mau‘s outfit and the outfits of the Indigenous actors - those would be my other favourites. So meaningful. Thank you for this analysis!

I loved Jonathan Bailey‘s outfit so much. I love that he put some real lavender into his pocket - but am I seeing it wrong, or is his brooch also depicting a - somewhat stylized - lavender? It really looks like that to me, and it would make this symbol even more powerful, because everyone can see the brooch. What do you think? The show was so beautiful and moving, and of course also timely and important. He coordinated his outfit with his co-Star and lead actor of the series Matt Bomer, who wore a cummerbund as well, and a similar silk shirt, but in aubergine - that‘s another aspect of Jonathan‘s outfit I appreciate, because, as he said in one acceptance speech: „Those of you who have seen Fellow Travelers know that Matt and I come together.“ - it was the perfect mix of sweet and cheeky😉.

Oh, I have to add what I just learned! Ron Nyswaner, the writer of the show, posted about Jonathan Bailey‘s floral brooch on Instagram: It‘s inspired by the South African Protea, a flower that symbolizes many things that echo Fellow Travelers: Diversity, Longevity, resilience and courage, beauty and individuality. So it speaks so well to the story of gay people that they are telling in Fellow Travelers. It‘s by Savannah Hoffman Designs - the same designer who also created a custom-made piece of jewellery for Ron Nyswaner.

Some of my favorites were Anna Sawai dressed in red (Shogun), Naomi Watts in green (Feud), Selena Gomez (Only Murders), Nakata Kurumi (Shogun), Ilona Maher (Olympic bronze medalist for Rugby), Kristin Kish (Top Chef) - her styling is great when looked at in a slideshow - very purposeful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
